Wedding at Quinta do Alferes de Crasto
Some days bring together much more than the moments of a celebration. They bring together choices, people and little details that become part of a couple’s story. Catherine and Mathew, a couple from the United States, chose Portugal for their wedding, with a ceremony at Santuário de Santa Luzia and a reception at Quinta do Alferes de Crasto. Get Married Wedding Planner provided full wedding planning.
From the ceremony to the reception, our role was to bring each stage together: preparing, organising and coordinating so that the couple could focus on enjoying their day.

The wedding ceremony at Santuário de Santa Luzia
Catherine and Mathew chose Santuário de Santa Luzia for their wedding ceremony. It is a place that will always be connected to their story and the moment they began this new chapter together.
When the ceremony and reception take place at different venues, planning needs to consider the day as a whole. Timings, travel and coordination between teams all require careful attention, allowing each moment the time it deserves.
For this wedding, Oporto Bus provided guest transport, while Classic Car Eventos supplied the couple’s wedding car.

The wedding reception at Quinta do Alferes de Crasto
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at Quinta do Alferes de Crasto, in Vairão, Vila do Conde.
With its gardens and different reception spaces, the venue offers a beautiful setting for a wedding in the Porto region. Catherine and Mathew chose it as the place to bring their guests together and continue the celebrations.
Choosing a venue is one of the decisions that shapes a wedding. From there, careful planning brings the suppliers, timings and details of the celebration together.

Full wedding planning by Get Married
Catherine and Mathew entrusted Get Married with their full wedding planning.
This service allows us to approach the wedding as a whole: listening to the couple, organising the preparations and coordinating the different professionals involved. Decisions that may seem small on their own are all part of an experience that needs to come together naturally.
For a day with a ceremony at Santuário de Santa Luzia and a reception at Quinta do Alferes de Crasto, this overall approach is particularly important. Planning the transition between the two venues and coordinating everyone involved is part of the work that takes place behind the scenes.
That is the purpose of our support: giving couples a team they can rely on, from the first planning decisions to the coordination of their wedding day.
The details and professionals behind the day
Each supplier brought their expertise to Catherine and Mathew’s wedding.
Inês Malaquias took care of the bride’s makeup, and Sublime Design Floral created her bouquet. Linhas Coloridas designed the wedding stationery, while Feedback Produções provided the music and DJ service.
Bruno Silva photographed the day, capturing this chapter of the couple’s story.
At Get Married, we value teamwork. Planning a wedding means giving each professional the space to do what they do best, while making sure everyone works towards a shared plan.
