Micro Wedding: The beauty of simplicity | Katherine & Matthew
This past June 29, we celebrated Katherine and Matthew’s wedding, an absolutely charming and meaningful day. But this wedding was a little different from the ones we’ve shared here on the blog.
The difference? It was a day entirely dedicated to the bride and groom… and their four guests. That’s right: just four people (and suppliers) to witness such a special moment. And it was precisely this choice that made everything even more magical.
When we think of weddings, we often imagine long guest lists, large parties, and a series of traditional moments. But Katherine and Matthew’s wedding took a different path, one that was more intimate, personal, and focused on the two of them.
This was a Micro Wedding, a trend that has been gaining popularity among couples looking for something less conventional, but equally special.
A Micro Wedding is a wedding with a small number of guests, usually up to 40. Although smaller in scale, important features of the day, such as emotion, style, and impact, are not lost. On the contrary, reducing the guest list allows you to focus on the details and create a truly memorable and personalized experience for you and your closest guests.
Some of the advantages of choosing to have a micro wedding are:
1. More time and connection with each guest
With a small group, it is possible to spend more time with each person present. Instead of brief greetings and photos, there is room for conversation, sharing, and truly enjoying the presence of each guest.
2. Total customization
Without the pressure to follow all traditions, you can choose exactly how you want to experience the day, whether that means including a first dance or opting not to have one, organizing an outdoor meal, or even planning a special activity with your guests.
3. Less logistical stress
With fewer guests, the logistical complexity is considerably reduced, allowing for greater fluidity and flexibility in organizing the day.
4. Higher quality in the details
The available budget can be applied with more intention, investing in your dreams and what really makes sense for you, whether it’s an experience with your guests, a top photographer, a special venue, or even the dress of your dreams.
A Micro Wedding may be the ideal choice, but it´s important to consider a few points. Who to invite? What to include? What to leave out? How to make the most of this day and create an unforgettable experience?
A new approach to your big day will present different challenges, but the support and advice of a wedding planner can make all the difference. With our experience, we can help you:
